New Hope United Methodist Church has a strong commitment to music as a ministry. We take seriouly the
expression, “Make a joyful noise unto the Lord.” God wants us to use our abilities no matter how great or small. “Some of us
are more capable than many of us, but none of us are more capable than all of us together.”
Additional singers and musicians are always welcome. Our music ministry offers many venues where people can
plug in. Whether you are a singer, an instrumentalist, or just a “lover of music,” there is a place for you in our music ministry.
The Choir rehearses each Wednesday evening in the Fellowship Hall from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. This non–
auditioned choir welcomes all who love to sing and who will be committed to attending Wednesday rehearsals and Sunday worship. Those who have
sung in high school and college choirs will find the New Hope Choir to be a fellowship within a large congregation and a great place to
participate in the leadership of worship while singing a wide variety of musical styles. Every effort is made in rehearsals to teach basic
elements of musicianship and vocal technique.
YOUTH HANDBELLS
The Youth Handbells choir is dedicated to learning the ancient and honorable art of bell ringing. This group provides music for programs and
festivals at special times of the year.
