Family Ministries

At New Hope United Methodist Church there are many Family Ministry programs and opportunities, such as: Family Church Camp; Workshops; Family Fall Festival, and coffee & fellowship time.

The Family Ministry program helps to promote faith formation in families with children, single parent families, married couples with no children, and families with grandparents raising grandchildren. Also, they seek out and introduce new families to others in the congregation.

Upon notification Family Ministries will offer nursery/child care for every event held by the congregation.

Music and Message — 2008
Summer of 2008 there were six special Wednesday nights with singing of the old and new hymn favorites, plus guest singers and groups. Also, New Hope UMC was able to stay connected to the Word of God as we listened to Pastor Bill Masciangelo deliver powerful messages.

Church Family Picnic — 2008
The Church Family Picnic on May 25, 2008 was a day of fun for everyone. There was delicious food and great games. Many thanks to the Family Ministry Team, James and Stephanie Loftis and everyone who pitched in to help. What a great day!.

Christian Gospel Concert — 2008
The Christian Gospel Concert featuring Jeanie Kay Truesdale on April 20, 2008 was a great success.

Family Fall Festival — 2007

On October 27, 2007 we celebrated fall with the Family Fall Festival. The Puppet Ministry from Cedar Grove Baptist Church, Lumberton, NC presented a wonderful live puppet show, Jesus and Me. Not only did the children enjoy this beautiful show but everyone who attended. Jesus and Me (JAM) puppets perform to help children know that Jesus and Me make the very best team. Thank you Cedar Grove Baptist Church Puppeteers: Keanne Pait, Jonathan Pait, Lexi Britt, Tyler Britt, Jasmine Britt, Aisalizz Negroni, Katherine Jordon, Richard Oranto, Jose Negroni, Regina Fairfax, Phillip Pait, Bennie Jo Pait, Jerry Russ, and Brittany Cox. Also, a special thank you to Jerry Russ, Director of Jesus and Me Puppet Ministry.

A big thank you goes to Lindsay Chambers for coordinating the event, George and Kathy Brizius for preparing a delicious lunch for the Puppeteers and for asking the Cedar Grove Baptist Church Jesus and Me Puppeteers to perform at the Fall Festival and our thanks to the many volunteers who helped to make this a wonderful event.
