New Hope UMC will officially launch the 200th anniversary year with a 15 minute worship service and blessing.
After the opening prayer you can become an honorary bell ringer by ringing the church bell for a $5.00 donation and receive an honorary Bell Ringer Certificate.
The United Methodist Men will begin serving all you care to eat lunch at 11:00 a.m. in the church fellowship hall. Lunch includes chicken pot pie, cornbread, and iced tea for only $5.00.
The United Methodist Women will have delicious homemade baked goods for sale. You can also purchase the New Hope UMC 200th Anniversary Cookbook.
Be sure to take time to walk around the fellowship hall and look at the posters which show the clothing, transportation, food, current events, farming, and entertainment in 1809.
