Bible Study at New Hope UMC, located in the Sanctuary, is designed for people to not just understand what happened a long time ago.
It’s designed to answer the questions: “What is the relevance for me? What is this saying to me about me?”
That’s what it’s all about: Making the Bible come alive. When New Hope Pastor Ed Rutenkroger talks about the Bible,
he’s talking about a different book than the dusty one many of us grew up with.
Pastor Ed keeps the discussions lively and the readings personal.
Just Walk Across The Room was a 4–week Bible Study class that began on April 28, 2010.
This Bible Study refreshed our appreciation for the Holy Spirit’s mysterious
ways, rekindled our passion for people, and revived our belief that the single greatest gift we can give to our friends and family members is
an introduction to the God who created them, loves them, and has a purpose for their lives. We learned how to: Develop friendships
with people far from God; Discover the stories behind their life’s journey; Discern what “next steps” will help point them
to faith. It all started with a walk across the room.
